Venice is 14 miles west of Los Angeles and fronts on the Pacific Ocean.
It was developed in 1905, and the canals were dug to drain the marshes
that were there. Now it is known for its 2.5 mile long waterfront pedestrian and bicycle only sidewalks, the canals, and all the vendors. This is supposed to be what I like to describe as a lot of eye candy on the weekends
during the winter and everyday during the summer.
